Head: Client Coverage (CIB) NB10 Reporting to the Executive: CIB (re-advertise)
Job Purpose:
To create and increase revenue and economic profit from selected existing and new clients, effectively managing internal stakeholders and facilitating collaboration across the relevant product areas of Nedbank's wholesale clusters, as per the business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve business and performance results by aligning and setting performance targets in line with the strategy and monitor performance within the CIB area.
- Acquire new business and retain existing business.
- Manage costs by limiting expenditure to budget.
- Build long terms relationships with both internal and external clients through excellent service level; quality products and leveraging the different relationships through regular engagement and communication.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external clients through regular
- Ensure smooth running of the business by structuring and staffing the business unit.
- Ensure compliance with internal and statutory processes by managing and leading the CIB Team effectively.
- Ensure implementation and execution of divisional sales strategy by monitoring compliance to the targets on a weekly basis.
- Achieve and manage targets by analyzing performance data against forecasted results.
- Keep abreast of competitor activities by conducting market research, benchmarking industry best practices and application of customer value propositions.
- Provide sales intelligence and solutions by conducting peer group benchmarking and legislative research.
- Provide continuous sales leadership through management of sales teams. Identify and reduce risk for Nedbank Group by providing credible sales advice and solutions.
- Produce reports to key business committees by assessing and collecting data relevant to sales risks and level of compliance.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- The applicant must be in possession of an applicable Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Economics Degree or similar qualification; CA or CFA would be an added advantage.
- The applicant must have at least five (5) years’ experience in sales and deal origination related to corporate client portfolio within a banking / financial services environment
- Good understanding of all banking products, sales channels, and systems with particular emphasis on relationship management.
- Broad industry and market knowledge, as well as having a sound understanding of local and global economic fundamentals.
- Namibian Citizen.
