Investment Banker (NB10) Reporting to Executive: CIB (Re-advertise)

Job Purpose:

The emphasis of this position will be on the acquisition of new customers for the Bank, the provision of superior service levels and development of new opportunities within an existing portfolio of clients through the marketing of the Bank’s products and services in a competitive Corporate Banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Growing the Corporate and Investment Banking loans and advances book.
• Structuring of investment banking finance and advisory solutions for current and prospective clients.
• Preparation of Expressions of Interest, Term Sheets, Credit papers, and other related documentation.
• Effective closing of transactions from initiation and credit approval to pay-out.
• Meeting agreed upon sales targets.
• Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in respect of investment banking solutions.
• Providing superior client services and enhancing the bank’s investment banking strategy.

Abilities Requirements

• Good understanding of all banking products and systems.
• Good numerical abilities and with respect to financial analysis.
• Good verbal abilities with respect to preparation of credit and related papers and motivations.
• Broad industry and market knowledge, as well as having a sound understanding of local and global economic fundamentals.
• Extensive and sound experience in all aspects of Corporate and Investment
• Banking, with particular emphasis on investment banking.
• A sound financial and credit analysis background.
• Superior interpersonal, negotiation, and marketing skills.
• Clear ability to work independently and in a team.
• Compelling aptitude to lead meetings.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• The applicant must be in possession of an applicable Bachelor  Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics degree or similar qualification; CA or CFA would be an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 (five) years’ experience in banking and/or financial services industry as well as Managerial level.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Valid Code of Conduct
