We maintain correspondent banking relationships with major banks around the world, ensuring that payments are actioned timeously. Nedbank’s payments and receipts transmit your funds securely around the world through the SWIFT network.
Be sure to fill in your SWIFT application form clearly and submit the necessary documentation to avoid delays.
How to receive payments
Step 1: Provide your banking details
Provide your full banking details to the sender i.e. account name, residential address and account number together with Nedbank Namibia’s SWIFT address, NEDSNANX.
The sender should specify the purpose of funds or provide the relevant document number e.g. the invoice number.
Step 2: Notification of funds receipt
As soon as Nedbank receives your funds, you will be notified via email or SMS.
Step 3: Complete payment request form
You will be prompted to complete the integrated Inward/Cross border/International Payment Request form. Complete the form, specifying the applicable Balance of Payments (BOP) category code click to download the BOP category guideline, and provide the purpose of the funds as required by the Bank of Namibia before the funds are released into your Nedbank account.
